“And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee” Leviticus 25:35.

Demir was one of the strong, healthy, and hard working men in the camp. He never needed help for anything. He used to be a devoted Muslim, taking care for his wife and son. His son attended our Bible Club some years ago, but Demir was strongly against it. However, his son continued coming to our meetings. Last December Demir had a very bad accident. While walking on the street, a car hit him and swept him of the road. He had bro-ken ribs, broken legs, and a brain concussion. While in the hospital, he underwent three surgeries. His legs have metal rods and his recovery is very slow. He could no longer take care of his family and they fell into poverty. He had not been out of his bed since January 2017, because his legs are very painful to walk and he had no wheelchair. Because of your prayers and financial support, we got a second hand wheelchair and he was able to go outside. He was so happy and praising God that we helped him. May the Lord bless you richly with his love and care, for we know the works we do in His name are due to the prayers and support of all our brothers and sisters in North Carolina.
