UNITED IN FAITH: REFLECTIONS ON OUR JOURNEY OF COTTAGE PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDIES

From the humble beginnings on July 10, 2025, to our triumphant conclusion on March 22, 2026, our church family has experienced a season of profound spiritual renewal through our Weekly Cottage Prayer Meetings and Bible studies. What started as a focused initiative within the homes of our church officers quickly expanded into a vibrant tapestry of fellowship that spanned across the regions of Bulacan, Caloocan, Manila, Quezon City, and Cavite. Over these eight months, we had the distinct privilege of being welcomed into the homes of 25 different families, turning living rooms into sanctuaries and neighborhoods into mission fields. This journey was a vivid reminder that the church is not confined to a single building but is a living, breathing body of Christ that thrives wherever believers gather in His name.

The strength of these gatherings lay in the spirit of inclusivity and the empowerment of our members. In every home visited, the house owner was given the free will to select a speaker and presider from among the congregation. This unique approach allowed for a beautiful diversity of testimonies and encouragements, ensuring that each meeting reflected the personal faith and specific needs of the host family. It was a joy to see different brothers and sisters’ step into leadership roles, sharing the Word and leading us in worship with such authenticity. By involving the entire congregation in this way, we moved beyond being mere spectators to becoming active participants in each other’s spiritual growth.

Beyond the fellowship of believers, the true miracle of this journey was the harvest of souls that followed every prayer. As the Word was preached in these intimate settings, many family members who had previously lived as unbelievers felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit and opened their hearts to the Truth. We rejoice in the testimonies of those who, surrounded by the love of their kin and the church, finally received Jesus Christ as their one and only Savior. These meetings proved to be a powerful bridge, reaching those who might never have stepped foot inside a church building but found the light of Christ right in their own living rooms.

As we look back on the miles traveled and the prayers shared, we are reminded of the biblical mandate for corporate intercession. The Scripture tells us in Acts 4:31, “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” This same boldness was evident in our homes as we stood as one, lifting our voices for our families, our church, and our nation. While this specific series of visits has concluded, the call to remain “one in prayer” remains. We encourage every member of the congregation to maintain the bonds formed during these twenty-five weeks, carrying the warmth of that collective fire into every aspect of our church life.
