A Day of Celebration by Rev. Arnel Cuba

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world. Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be His through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Be-cause of His love God had already decided that through Jesus Christ He would make us His children—this was His pleasure and purpose. Let us praise God for His glorious grace, for the free gift He gave us in His dear Son! Almost two years have passed since Covid-19 hit the Philippines and was experienced almost all over the world. The First Free Will Baptist Church Manila, in Caloocan City, had a Family Outdoor Fellowship on May 1, 2022 in Bulacan. Most of our special events are held in the place, and today a special celebration and Christian baptism was held. As the Scriptures say in Matthew 28: 19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things what-soever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Praise our living Lord for the twenty-four souls who have received the Lord as their Savior, and were baptized. May these brethren continue to grow in their faith and grow in their relationship with the Lord. As part of this, we also ex-pressed our gratitude for all the students who graduated from their studies; from elementary, high school, college and masters. We thank God for His relentless provision of knowledge and wisdom for all students. May God’s blessings always be with them as they study until they fully reach their goals in life as servants of God. This was followed by celebrating our dear mothers, since this is Mother’s Month. As exemplary mothers, we sincerely thank all the parents for their great contributions to the work of the Lord. Our prayers for them are that they will continue to be blessed with many more years to continue to be used in the work of God and in every family. Many thanks to our dear parents of First Free Will Baptist Church Manila and to all the parents in the whole world. God bless you all! Please continue to include us in your prayers for the growth of our Lord’s work here in Manila. May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ grant all the brothers and sisters peace and love with faith. The grace of God be with you all who love our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.
