News From Liberia and Guinea

We are grateful for the continued support for our mission in Africa. I recently had the opportunity to visit the brethren in Guinea and it was truly a memorable experience. The climate in Guinea has undergone significant changes, with abundant rainfall reminiscent of Liberia. While this affected some of our planned activities, we were able to have a powerful night revival and an uplifting Sunday service. The church is thriving, with new members being added by the grace of the Lord.

On Sunday, the city was bustling with traffic due to a Muslim holiday. I observed the sight of people spreading their mats on the main road, and almost all streets to pray. They don’t go to their mosque, bringing all vehicles to a standstill until they finished. A truly embarrassing situation, but we are forced to endure as armed men are there to guard them. It took hours to navigate through the congested streets, but we managed to reach the church for a heartwarming worship service and fellowship as well as special meeting with the church leaders.

Then I thought how much freedom we do give them (Muslims) in our countries. We never stand in their way. But they never reciprocate such freedom in their home where they are in majority.

This visit was a testament to the resilience and faith of our brethren in Guinea, I am happy that through your support the mission in Africa is making a positive impact. Thank you once again for your unwavering support.

One of the things affecting the leaders was the issue of transportation to enable them with their outreach. It’s easy converting an atheist into a Christian than converting a Muslim. This is due to their indoctrination from childhood. For them Islam is part of their culture.
