FINDING JOY IN THE MIDST OF HEARTACHE

Greetings with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our past months have been difficult, physically, and emotionally. We pray to God to fill our hearts because the absence of our father and pastor continues to be deep inside of us. In these difficult days for our family, the only joy that heals us is when we serve God with all our heart. In serving God, we find joy in doing what we are called to do. We are grateful because we were taught by our father how to serve the Living God. Although Pastor Kosta’s life here on earth ended early, his words and message left to all of us will never leave.
Two weeks ago, we managed to go to the city of Ruse in an all-Muslim neighborhood and evangelize to about 10 or 15 people, personally giving to each of them about 30–40 minutes in which we told in detail about Jesus Christ. Some people rejected us at first, but then God put the right words in our mouths to reach their hearts and we were able to evangelize the rest of the people that had interest to hear. We gave them Bibles and prayed for them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
One of the stories that remains in my heart is about Sister Elmaz. About two years ago she had an incident with her husband and she was stabbed in her head in depth of about 5–6 centimeters. Miraculously, she was alive. When we entered Elmaz’s home, she opened the door for us with a smile and we told her about the love of Jesus Christ. She was so happy and scared at the same time. She mentioned to us that if her husband would know she could in big trouble, but still in secret she asked us to tell her more about our Savior. We prayed for her and she cried a lot. I still rejoice in remembering her sincere thirst for our God.
In these hard times, I can confirm the words of Christ, “The harvest is plentiful and the workers few.” Every day I understand more and more how many people need to be reached for God. They were so happy that young people knocked on their door, just to tell them that there is ONE MORE FAITHFUL THAN A BROTHER AND CLOSER THAN A FRIEND AND HE LOVES THEM! We share our joy with you and thank you for being a part of it all!
